Pick a "Delicious" Gift
Schiller Park IL – February 4, 2011 - Popcorn Palace was recently selected to appear on the online TV show, “Small Business Rules”, which is produced by AMEX in conjunction with Next New Networks. Hosted by Lindsay Campbell, the show chronicles the development of small businesses and the philosophies that have facilitated their success. Particular in their selection of candidates, it is an honor to be chosen as a featured entrepreneur.
While touring the production facility, Tim Heitmann, the innovative owner of Popcorn Palace, shared core mission statements that aided in establishing a prosperous company. Most notable is his assertion that “Not all sales are good sales.” He explains, “You have to figure out what your niche is. Sometimes that means saying ‘no’ or ‘I’ll pass’.”
Mr. Heitmann is particularly discerning about the distribution of his product. The only way, he maintains, to ensure that the popcorn maintains its quality and freshness is to sell directly to consumers. He takes great pride in producing a gourmet product as well as providing exceptional customer service.
Crediting his staff, Mr. Heitmann asserts, “You don’t need a 100 page manual to tell you what’s right and what’s wrong. We tell our staff to make sure the customer is happy.”
These philosophies, in addition to a unique product, have led to a lucrative and flourishing company. This interview is available for viewing at: http://www.openforum.com/idea-hub/topics/lifestyle/video/small-business-rules-the-popcorn-palace-rule.
